Everything You Need For The Perfect Spring Wardrobe
From the color of the season to my definitive guide to the best trench coat.
Welcome back to Let’s Get Dressed, a weekly newsletter where I share my endeavors in fashion - what I’m wearing, shopping, trying on, and thinking about — to give you some inspiration for the week ahead. It’s my fashion diary, except I’m actually letting you look inside.
The brooch. I’m absolutely giddy seeing the brooch come back in popularity after seeing it at shows like Tory Burch. My favorite one I’ve found so far is this flower vase inspired brooch that you can actually fill with something.
I also saved this one that Angela Fink recently wore from Heaven Mayhem. Pinterest-worthy styling inspiration!
A cigarette pant. I’ve seen a lot of capris lately and these feel like the more elevated version. They’re more tailored than a standard trouser and the ankle crop feels much more spring. I just got this pair of vintage Celine pants while shopping in Paris, and Mango ($49.99) and TOTEME ($480) make really similar pairs.
Something blue. From Sabrina Carpenter at the GRAMMYs to Selena Gomez at the Golden Globes, baby blue is definitely the color of the season. If you’re color shy, I love how Stella McCartney styled it below at the recent Fall 2025 show I was at, and this blue sweater from Aritzia would be a great layering piece to accomplish the look.
Chic stripes. Stripes always take center stage come summer, but they’ve made an early entrance at brands like Helsa and Jenni Kayne. The sweater below is my go-to for sunny days around my shoulders and has officially become my beach sweater. Pro tip for stripes: a thin stripe is the key to a chic outfit.
An outfit I can’t stop thinking about is that Rosie skirt below with a white tank top and ballet flats.
Chloé-inspired tops. Since Chemena Kamali became the creative director at Chloé, her designs have infiltrated the industry and ushered in a new era of boho chic. This spring/summer will be filled with beautiful, flowy tops, from ruffles to drapes that ooze romance. This Mango top is a great dupe!
A kitten heel. I recently saw a Tiktoker ask her audience what shoes we’re wearing to spring cocktails that’s not a sneaker or a boot, and the kitten heel is my vote. They’re comfortable while the pointed toe creates a very downtown cool silhouette. I love the below (PSA brides they also come in white) and the Tory Burch Pierce Mule.
The perfect trench coat. Trench coats are quintessential spring - they’re the easiest transitional layer that everyone needs in their closet! I feel like I’ve tried every trench on the market at this point from Gap to Reformation to Saint Laurent. My go-to is my Mimchik trench - it’s very elevated and it’s a soft shade of beige.
The Reformation trench is a bit warmer in tone and also a closet must.
Fringe! Fringe has been all over the runways this season, from FForm to Acne Studios. I like to call it angel hair fringe because it’s a bit more effortless and chic. This Zara set would look so beautiful underneath a trench coat for drinks or dinner.
